The exhibition Romae fuit. Jubilee Memory of El Cachorro in Rome aims to commemorate one of the most singular events in the recent history of Sevillian popular religiosity: the participation of the Most Holy Christ of the Expiration in Rome on the occasion of the Jubilee of the Confraternities.
This exhibition project brings together, within a single museographic narrative, the chronicle of a historic event and the human and devotional dimension that made it possible. It presents the process that enabled the transfer of the image to Rome, its institutional, cultural, and spiritual presence and impact, while placing this episode within the recent history of the Brotherhood and highlighting its artistic, human, and devotional heritage.
